Biography:

Gerrit Rietveld was a Dutch furniture designer and architect, born in Utrecht, Netherlands on June 24, 1888. He passed away on June 25, 1964. Rietveld is best known for his contributions to the De Stijl movement and his iconic Red and Blue Chair. He was also responsible for designing the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
