Biography:

Giovanni Benini was an Italian painter born in Venice in 1757 and died in 1807. He was a pupil of Francesco Maggiotto and was active in Venice during the late 18th century. Benini was known for his portraits, including the 'Portrait of Girolamo Pompei' (1790).
