Biography:
Giovanni Buffa was an Italian painter, sculptor, and decorator born in Casale Monferrato in 1871. He studied art and began his career in Italy, where he produced a variety of works, including paintings, sculptures, and decorative pieces. Buffa was known for his contributions to the opera buffa genre, a form of comic opera that was popular in Italy during the 18th and 19th centuries. He worked on several opera buffa productions, including the famous Don Giovanni by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo Da Ponte. Buffa died in Milan in 1954.
