Biography:
Gladys Maldaun de Almeida (1932-2019) was a Brazilian artist born in São Paulo. She was known for her abstract and geometric compositions, often created with pastels. Maldaun studied at the Escola de Belas Artes de São Paulo and later at the Atelier de Artes Plásticas da Universidade de São Paulo. She had numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout her career, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro and the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo. Maldaun's work is part of several public and private collections in Brazil and abroad. She passed away in 2019.
