Biography:

Gouri Rani Jana is an Indian artist born in Debra, India in 1995. She is a National Award winner and heads Ma Kali Mat Industry, a mat weaving unit of 40 women. Gouri Rani Jana is known for her intricate weaving skills and her introduction of Masland mats made of natural color dyed sticks. She is also a Madur artist and has been honored with the National Handicraft Award for her skills in making madur floor mats that are unique to West Bengal.
