Gu Jian Long

Biography:

Gu Jianlong was a Chinese Asian Antiquities artist who was born in 1606 in China. He was also known as Gu Jian Long. Gu Jianlong's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 216 USD to 3,500,650 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. During the early Kangxi reign-era (1662-1722), Gu’s talent and fame earned him appointment as zhihou, ‘Painter-in-waiting,’ in the imperial painting academy in Beijing. Gu Jianlong died in the Circa 1687.
