Biography:
Gustaf Broling was a Swedish mekaniker, kopparstickare, litograf, bildkonstnär, industriman, and författare. He was born on April 11, 1766, in Edsbergs församling, Örebro län, Sweden, and died on April 12, 1838, in Stockholm, Sweden. Broling is known for his work as an inventor and industrialist, as well as his contributions to the arts. He established a gjuteri for finare järnarbeten at Karlsdals bruk in Värmland in 1793. He also produced a woodcut titled 'From the persecutions of the Jews in Russia: A trek to the West' in 1882.
