Biography:
Hans Bayens was a Dutch sculptor, book designer and painter. He was born in Belgium, but was the child of two Dutch parents. After his school in Amsterdam, he studied at the Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (Antwerp) between 1946 and 1949. He studied under Isidore Opsomer and Henri Puvrez. After his studies, he moved to Paris and returned to Amsterdam in 1952, where he settled permanently.
