Biography:

Hans Bolek was an Austrian artist born in Vienna in 1890. He studied at the School for Applied Arts in Vienna under Josef Hoffmann and worked for Otto Prutscher’s studio. He was not a member of the Wiener Werkstätte, but his work was close to its style. Bolek was not just an architect but also a painter who designed furniture, jewelry, and glassware. He died in 1978.
