Biography:
Li Qun, also known as Hao Lichun, was a Chinese artist born in Lingshi County, China in 1912. He was known for his woodcuts and attended the Hangzhou National Art Academy, where he set up the Woodcut Research Association in 1933. Li Qun became acquainted with Lu Xun, a leading Chinese writer, and became a seminal figure in the Chinese revolutionary woodcut movement. He died in 2012.
