Biography:
Haralampi Tachev was a Bulgarian artist, decorator and professor, one of the earliest Bulgarian modernists. He was born in Plovdiv on 19 July 1875 and graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1897. He was the first Bulgarian artist-decorator and is also the author of the coat of arms of Sofia. He died in Sofia on 13 April 1944.
