Biography:
Hiroshige Utagawa II and Toyokuni Utagawa IV were Japanese artists who worked together to create ukiyo-e style woodblock prints. They were both members of the Utagawa school, which was one of the main schools of ukiyo-e during the Edo period. The Utagawa school specialized in bijin-ga (beautiful women) and uki-e (perspective picture). Hiroshige II is known for his landscape prints while Toyokuni IV focused on kabuki actor prints.
