Biography:

Indonesia Gastronomy Network is a national gastronomy platform founded by Vita Datau in 2017. The platform aims to connect all Indonesian gastronomy experts, activists, and actors with international reputation, in order to synergize, preserve, progress and promote gastronomy in Indonesia. Vita Datau is also the initiator and founder of the platform, and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Experts and the Chair of the Acceleration Team for Development of Culinary & Shopping Tourism at the Minister of Tourism Indonesia. She is also a member of the IGCAT Expert Panel. Vita Datau believes that gastronomy trend must embrace the wealth of food biodiversity heritage, local wisdom and local genius while also creating impact at origin. The Indonesia Gastronomy Network has been designated as a City of Gastronomy by UNESCO in 2021.
