Biography:

Is Yuniarto is an Indonesian comic artist. He was born in Semarang and started his interests in comic drawings since childhood. He was actively participating in exhibitions and comic drawing competitions during his college studies in Visual Communication Design, Universitas Kristen Petra, Surabaya. His comic debut was Wind Rider in 2005, published by Elex Media Komputindo. Receiving high praise from local comic fans, Wind Rider was nominated for 2005 Komikasia Award in three categories: Best Cover, Best Character and Best Comic. Later in 2007-2009, Is published a trilogy comic Knights of Apocalypse as well as phenonemal comic series Garudayana . Is also created Spirit of Nusantara, the first manga comic about warriors from many part of Indonesia. Is Yuniarto is also known as a wayang (puppet) comic maker and General Manager, Bumilangit Comic.
