Isidoro Chiari, also known as Isidoro Clario or Isidoro da Chiari, was an Italian bishop and a founding father of the Council of Trent. He was born in Chiari, Italy in 1495 and died in Foligno, Italy in 1555. He was a Benedictine monk and was educated in the classics and theology. He was known for his eloquence and his contributions to the Council of Trent, particularly in the disputes over the authority of the text and versions of the Holy Scriptures. He was also an editor of an edition of the Vulgate.
