Biography:
Izan Shimomura was a Japanese artist and poet who lived from 1865 to 1949. He was known for his paintings of flowers, birds, and landscapes, as well as his haiku poetry. His works often depicted the beauty of nature in Japan during the Meiji era through the Showa era. Some of his notable artworks include 'Birds in the Moonlight' (1936) and 'Grape Arbor'.
