Jagadish Chandra Dey, also known as Jagdish Dey, was a renowned Indian painter and printmaker born in 1942 in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Jagadish Chandra Dey moved to Assam with his family at a young age and completed his schooling there. He later graduated from the School of Art, Delhi Polytechnic (now College of Art, Delhi) in 1963.
