Biography:
Jaime Lauriano is a Brazilian artist born in São Paulo in 1985. He graduated from the Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo in 2010. Lauriano explores symbols, images, and myths that shape the imagination of Brazilian society, often addressing themes of history, violence, and the African diaspora in his work. He has exhibited in solo exhibitions at the Fundação Joaquim Nabuco in Recife and MAC Niterói in Rio de Janeiro, and has been a finalist for the PIPA Prize. His work has also been featured in the exhibition Afro-Atlantic Histories.
