Janet Smith Castronuovo, also known as Janet Elizabeth Smith, is an American classicist and philosopher born in 1950 in the United States. She is a former professor of moral theology at the Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Michigan. She has served as a consulter to the Pontifical Council on the Family and on the Anglican Roman Catholic International Commission III. She is also known for her outreach program in support of formation in Ugandan Seminaries. In addition to her academic work, she is also an artist, with a mixed media piece titled 'Humanity Arises and Takes to the Street'.
