Janie Karpa, also known as Janie Nungala, is an Aboriginal Australian artist from Alice Springs. She is part of the Hermannsburg School, a style of watercolor painting made famous by Albert Namatjira. Janie learned to paint from her family members, who were taught by Namatjira himself. Her work is represented by the Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre, which supports and promotes the legacy of Namatjira and his descendants. Janie's paintings often depict the natural beauty of the Australian landscape and are highly sought after by collectors.
