Biography:

Jarbas Lopes is a Brazilian artist born in Belo Horizonte in 1964. He is known for his sculptures and installations that often incorporate everyday objects and materials. Lopes studied at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and later at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He has exhibited his work internationally, including at the Venice Biennale and the São Paulo Biennial. Lopes currently lives and works in Belo Horizonte.
