Biography:
Jenny Victorine Fernande Minne-Dansaert was a Belgian lace artist, born in Gand in 1844 and died in Paris in 1909. She learned the art of lace making from her mother, Thérèse Minne-Dansaert, and developed a high-quality production that won numerous awards in international exhibitions. She was also a feminist and believed in equal education for men and women. She was made a Chevalier of the Order of Leopold and an Officière of the Instruction publique.
