Biography:

Jimmy Rix is an award-winning artist, specialising in sculpture. He has been commissioned to make large scale public art in Australia and China and has been a regular exhibitor in outdoor sculpture exhibitions such as Sculpture by the Sea. Jimmy is represented in Sydney and Melbourne by Australian Galleries and holds regular solo and group exhibitions at these venues. His sculptures often relate to personal experiences and encounters with animals, whether decades-long or fleeting, for him these connections are always meaningful. He has a deep interest in aboriginal culture, shaped at an early age as his property and surrounding area was home to a number of sacred sites.
