Johannes Christiaan Janson was a Dutch painter born in Leiden, Netherlands on March 13 or 17, 1652. He died in The Hague, Netherlands on October 17, 1823. He was a painter and etcher, active in Leiden. Son of Johannes Janson and brother of Pieter Janson. Born in Leiden, died in The Hague. Firstly cavalry officer; then turned to painting. He is known for his genre scenes and portraits.
