Biography:
John Tweddle (1938-2022), also known as Kentucky John, was an American artist. He moved to New York in 1969 and is considered an outsider artist. His work has been exhibited at institutions such as MoMA P.S.1, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Bonnefantenmuseum in Maastricht. Tweddle's work often explores ideas of class and his own identity growing up as a Southerner.
