Biography:

Jorge Cláudio de Bacelar Gouveia is a Portuguese jurist born on July 1st, 1966. He is a professor catedrático of Law, an advocate, jurisconsult and arbitrator. Throughout his career he has held various positions such as Member of Parliament in Portugal (2009-2011), Chairman of the Portuguese Council for Oversight of Intelligence Services (2004-2008) and President of the Law Institute for the Portuguese Speaking Countries.
