Jorge Rivero, also known as Jorge Pous Rosas, is a Mexican actor born in Mexico City in 1938. He is known for his career in Spanish-language media spanning two continents, America and Europe. Rivero began his acting career in 1965 with the film 'The Invisible Assassin'. He gained popularity in Mexico with the movie 'El Mexicano' in 1966, which made him an overnight star. Rivero has also appeared in wrestling films with Santo. His most notorious role was in 'The Sin of Adam and Eve' in 1969. He has acted in Hollywood films such as 'Soldier Blue' in 1970, 'Rio Lobo' in 1970, and 'The Last Hard Men' in 1976. Rivero has also appeared in Italian and U.S. productions, including Lucio Fulci's 1983 fantasy film 'Conquest' and the all-star action film 'Counterforce' in 1988. In 1996, Rivero acted in the film 'Werewolf' with Richard Lynch and Joe Estevez. Rivero was raised in Mexico City and excelled in various sports, including track, jai alai, and water polo. He was also a bodybuilder and has used weightlifting to maintain his physique throughout his life. Rivero graduated from Colegio Universitario Mexicano in 1960 with a degree in chemical engineering.
