Jay Yao, also known as Jose Campos III, is a Filipino artist born in Richmond, Canada in 1980. He was raised with one foot in Vancouver and the other in Manila. Yao is an alumnus of Hampshire College, Parsons, and Columbia University. He is known for his photography and has exhibited in Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America. His work often explores technology, photography, and art. Yao has also experimented with drone photography and has had exhibitions such as 'The Low Hum of a Drone'.
