Biography:
Josefina Madariaga is an Argentine artist born in Mercedes, Corrientes. She studied Licenciatura en Artes Visuales at the Universidad Nacional del Arte and worked as an assistant to the Molina de dibujo chair at the same institution. She attended various workshops, including 'Pintando con Golucho' by Miguel Ángel Mayo in Barcelona, Spain (2016), 'De la imagen al concepto' by Juan Doffo at Museo de la Cárcova (2016), and 'Anatomía visual comparada' with Pablo Lapadula at Ira de Dios (2017). She also attended private workshops by Hector Destéfanis, Alejandro Boim, and Fernando O'Connor. Her individual exhibitions include 'El Otro Lado' at Consulado Argentino in Barcelona, Spain (2019), 'El otro lado' at Galería Alejandro Bustillo Banco Nacion (2017), and 'Instantes' at Galería Resto – Sociedad Central de Arquitectos 9 de septiembre (2015). She has participated in group exhibitions such as Imaginería Femenina with Sol Arguindegui at La Tabacalera, Madrid, Spain (2019) and 'Imitación de la vida' at Galería Pasaje 17. She received the Premio Graduado Salón Prilidiano Pueyrredón Universidad Nacional del Arte (2018), Mención especial Pintura Salón Municipal de Artes Plásticas “Luis Gualchi” (2015), and other awards.
