Joseph Marie Bouton was born in Cádiz, Spain. He became painter in miniature to Charles IV of Spain. He worked in Paris from 1790 until 1803 and exhibited at the Royal Academy from London addresses from 1816 until 1819. He is known for Miniature painting.
