Maurice Ravel was a French composer, pianist and conductor. He was born on March 7, 1875, in Ciboure, France, and died on December 28, 1937, in Paris, France. With his contemporary Claude Debussy, Ravel was the most influential figure of French music at the time. He is known for his works such as Daphnis et Chloé, Boléro, Miroirs, Concerto pour piano en sol majeur and Gaspard de la nuit.
