Joseph Pujol, also known as Le Pétomane, was a French entertainer and flatulist born in Marseille, France in 1857. He was famous for his remarkable control of his abdominal muscles, which allowed him to seemingly fart at will. He used this ability to perform in music halls and circuses, and became a popular and successful entertainer. Pujol passed away in 1945.
