DeForrest Hale Judd was an American painter who was born in 1916. He lived most of his life in Dallas working as an artist and teaching at Southern Methodist University. His keen observation of the natural world is evident in his artwork, which often features landscapes and wildlife from Texas regions such as Big Bend and Caddo Lake.
