Judith Martin, also known as Miss Manners, is an American columnist, author, and etiquette authority. She is best known for her Miss Manners newspaper column, which has been distributed thrice-weekly since 1978 and carried in more than 200 newspapers in the United States and abroad. Martin was born in Washington, D.C. in 1938. She is also a member of the Christian music vocal trio, The Martins, along with her siblings Joyce Martin Sanders and Jonathan Martin.
