Biography:

K.M. Gopal is an Indian artist known for his metal relief works. He is best known for his work 'Ganesha', done with beaten copper in the repousse technique. He is also known for his work in the context of his time, giving the historical background in the 19th century. He was a scholar, the founder of the Servants of India Society, and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress. He was also a political mentor of Indian freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi.
