Karlyn Bue Lohrenz is an American artist born in 1945 in Billings, United States. She is known for her art quilts, which she started making as a way of coping with the stages of grief after her sixteen year old daughter tragically lost her life in a car accident in 1989. She was selected as a 'Rising Star' at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2017. Her quilt 'The Monumental Way' was featured in the 'Rising Stars' exhibit at the same festival in 2017. She was also featured as an artist in the exhibit 'It's the Cowboy Way' at Google Arts & Culture in 2015. She currently lives and works in Billings, United States.
