Kaspar Anton Karl Van Beethoven, a brother of the renowned composer Ludwig van Beethoven, was born in 1774 in Bonn, Germany. He lost his mother at the age of 13 and moved to Vienna with his brother in 1794. Kaspar also attempted to compose music but never gained significant recognition.

Early Life and Career

Kaspar worked as a clerk in the Department of Finance and served as a part-time secretary for his brother Ludwig van Beethoven. In 1809, he received a promotion at his government job, advancing to the position of Deputy Liquidator, with a salary of 1000 florins plus 160 for rent.
