Katia Aparecida Prates, known as Katia Prates, is a Brazilian photographer born in São Paulo in 1976. She studied photography at the Panamericana School of Art and Design in São Paulo and has been working as a professional photographer since 2000. Prates has exhibited her work in several solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, and her photographs have been published in various magazines and books. She is known for her photographic series that explore themes such as identity, memory, and the passage of time. Prates currently lives and works in São Paulo.
