Biography:
Katsuhiko Chaen is a Japanese sand sculptor, born in 1960 in Japan. He is a graduate of Musashino Art University in Tokyo and has become one of the leading sand sculptors in the world. He is also a renowned producer and director of amazing events, and has been honored as 'One of 100 Japanese individuals the World Respects'. He is the founder of the Fukiage-hame Sand Festival in 1987 and has been the Executive Producer of the Tottori Sand Dunes Sand Museum since 2006. He has won numerous awards in international sand sculpture competitions, including 1st place in Virginia Beach and Matera, Italy in 2010, and 2nd place in Bulgaria in 2015. He is also the chief sculptor of the Tottori Sand Museum.
