Biography:
Kenoteq is a Scottish company that specializes in building products. Its first product is an unfired brick made of 90% recycled content from demolition and construction waste. The company was founded in 2019 as a spin-out from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh by Gabriela Medero, who spent over a decade researching and developing the K-Briq. The K-Briq is used to build the Serpentine Pavilion in 2020, designed by South African architecture studio Counterspace. Kenoteq's mission is to become a global leader in the world of ultra-low carbon sustainable building materials, while providing local circular waste solutions that support local supply chains and drive down carbon emissions.
