Biography:
Kodue Hibino, also known as Kodume Hibino, is a Japanese costume artist born in Shizuoka in 1958. She graduated from the Design department of Tokyo University of the Arts. Hibino has presented her works in various fields such as advertising, theatre plays, dance performances, ballets, films, and museum exhibitions. She has been involved in creating stage costumes for many works directed by Hideki Noda since 1990. In 1997, she changed her artist name from Kodue Naito to Kodume Hibino. She has had several solo exhibitions, including 'Kodue Hibino’s Commodity Utopia' in 2007 and 'Full Cycle: Kodue Hibino’s “60”' in 2018. Hibino's artwork 'The Forest Moves' was created in 2020 using leather as the medium.
