Koh Sang Woo is a Korean-American artist born in Seoul, South Korea in 1978. He is known for his vivid images of human figures, which he creates using an approach that combines painting, performance, documentation, and photography. Sang Woo's work often features blue-toned photographs that capture his subjects using negative film. He has exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including the Savina Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, the Wanrooij Gallery in Amsterdam, and the Cat Street Gallery in Hong Kong. In 2021, he published a book titled '20 Years', which showcases his work to date. Sang Woo currently lives and works in New York City.
