Biography:
Konrad Lueg, also known as Konrad Fischer, was a German artist and gallerist. He co-founded the Capitalist Realist movement in 1963 with Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter. Lueg's work often depicted Germany's growing consumer culture and media-saturated society, and he was known for his use of everyday consumer items in his art. He ceased creating art in 1968 and became a successful contemporary art dealer, running the Konrad Fischer Galerie in Düsseldorf.
