Laura Lit is an American artist born in Dallas, Texas in 1979. She received a BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 2001. Her work has been featured in numerous key galleries and museums such as Northern-Southern. Laura Lit's art is characterized by her use of oil on canvas and her focus on figurative painting. Her work explores the battle between internal and external worlds, often drawing inspiration from noir film, portrait and fashion photography, the work of Renaissance and Dutch masters, Surrealism, and psychology. Laura Lit currently lives and works in Austin, Texas.
