Biography:
Keith A. McConnell is an American artist born in Athens, Ohio in 1946. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio University and a Master of Fine Arts from California State University. In 1968, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and became a combat artist. He has created nine 'Toys for Tots' posters and documented various training exercises and Operation Desert Storm. He also worked as an operating room and mental health nurse until his retirement in 2002. He has served as AC/S G-2 for the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Aid-de-Camp for the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Co Command, Bn Ops O, Bn XO for MCRD San Diego, AC/S G-2 for the 1st Marine Logistics Group, and MAGTF Staff Training. He is the author of the artwork 'MOPP-4'.
