Biography:

Linda Vallejo is an American artist born in 1951 in East Los Angeles. She is known for her painting, sculpture, and ceramics, often addressing her Mexican-American ethnic identity within the context of American art and popular culture. Vallejo is also an arts educator and has been involved in traditional Native American and Mexican rituals and ceremonies for many years. She is the founder of the commercial art gallery Galería Las Américas. Vallejo's work was included in three exhibitions organized as part of the Getty-sponsored 'Pacific Standard Time: Art in Los Angeles 1945-1980'. She is represented by Parrasch Heijnen, Los Angeles.
