Biography:
Lionel St. Eloi is a Haitian painter and sculptor born in Port-au-Prince in 1950. He began painting in 1972 and joined the Centre d'Art. In the 1990s, he shifted his focus to sculpture using recycled materials. St. Eloi is known for his vibrant colors and depictions of Haitian life. He currently lives and works in the Carrefour Feuilles neighborhood of Port-au-Prince.
