Lorena Wolffer is a Mexican artist and cultural activist. She was born in Mexico City in 1971. Wolffer has presented her work broadly in Mexico and internationally, focusing her performance-based practice on altering the political and social environment of Mexico. Her work addresses pressing issues, such as femicide and gender-based violence. Wolffer is also known for her activism and has been part of various feminist movements and organizations. She is the co-founder and director of ExTeresa Arte Actual (INBA) and has been part of the Culture Council in the UNAM. Wolffer's work has been recognized and exhibited in various galleries and museums, including Mimosa House, Filimages, MutualArt, and UNAM.
