Biography:
Loris Cecchini is an Italian contemporary artist born in Milan in 1969. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Florence and Brera, Milan. His work has been exhibited throughout the world in prestigious museums such as Palais de Tokyo in Paris, MoMA PS1 in New York, Shanghai Duolun MoMA of Shanghai, Museo Casal Solleric in Palma de Mallorca, Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela, Kunstverein of Heidelberg, Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato and Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro in Milan. Cecchini has participated in numerous international exhibitions including the Venice Biennale, Shanghai Biennale, Rome Quadrennial, Taiwan Biennale, Valencia Biennale and the Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (UABB) in Shenzhen. He has also taken part in several collective shows at Ludwig Museum in Cologne, PAC in Milan, Palazzo Fortuny in Venice, Macro Future in Rome, MART in Rovereto, London's Hayward Gallery, The Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture in Moscow and others.
