Biography:

Lucinda Carlstrom is an American artist born on September 8, 1950 in Jamestown, New York. She has a BFA from the Atlanta College of Art in Painting and Printmaking. She has been living in Atlanta, Georgia for close to 50 years and currently resides in the north Atlanta area of Brookhaven. Her work is unique, timeless and exquisitely executed, often featuring paperquilts, sewn paper and recycled silk piecework, and gold leaf. She has been exhibiting her work for over 40 years and has a vast collection of silks and papers from around the world. In 2008, she bought a Gammill quilting machine and has since been producing quilts entirely out of silk. Her work has been featured in various publications and exhibitions.
